About the author(s)

Howard Forman is President of PIM Associates Inc., a highly regarded provider of management consulting and education services. Howard has over 35 years of experience in supply chain management, operations management, production and inventory management, business process improvement, lean, and project management as a practitioner, consultant, and educator.  Prior to establishing his own firm, Howard worked for several leading consulting firms, including Coopers & Lybrand, KPMG, and Grant Thornton. This expert has taught supply chain management, production, and inventory management body of knowledge courses and has helped thousands of practitioners gain the practical knowledge needed to prepare for and successfully pass the Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP); Certified in Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution (CLTD); and Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) certification exams offered by APICS.

David Forman, CSCP, CLTD, is Senior Manager, Business Projects at Crestron Electronics, a global technology company. Currently, most of his work at the firm involves overseeing the efforts of a team of supervisors and senior business analysts, and managing systems improvement projects. He is also a Senior Associate, Instructor, and Courseware Developer for PIM Associates. David develops and teaches courses in supply chain management and production and operations management and helps people prepare for the APICS CSCP and CLTD certification exams. He is a past President of the APICS Northern New Jersey chapter and currently an active member of the APICS Tappan Zee Chapter. David is also a member of the Project Management Institute.
