Earn PDUs for PMI Recertification

Earn PDUs for PMI Recertification

Self-directed reading is a fantastic way to further your business or technical knowledge and also earn professional development units (PDUs). The Project Management Institute (PMI) is one organization that requires a certain number of PDUs in order to renew its many certifications:

  • PMP
  • PgMP
  • PfMP
  • PMI-PBA
  • PMI-ACP
  • PMI-RMP
  • PMI-SP

Everyone who earns a PMI certification must actively maintain their certification through participation in PMI’s Continuing Certification Requirements (CCR) Program and also renew that certification every 3 years. As a certification holder, you must earn a minimum number of PDUs in each of the skill areas of the PMI Talent Triangle®—technical, leadership, and strategic and business management. For more information on this program, click here.

Reading and engaging with J. Ross Publishing titles is an excellent way to support your ongoing professional development and earn PDUs in the three areas of the PMI Talent Triangle®. PMI’s guidelines call for 1 PDU for each hour of learning engagement. As you peruse our online title library, you will notice the number of PDUs that we recommend for each title as well as the corresponding PMI Talent Triangle® skill area(s). Keep track of the dates you read our titles and when your time for recertification comes, simply self-report to PMI the PDUs you have earned.
